Welcome. . .

School is almost out! Summer is almost here! Yay!! What will you do with all of that spare time so you don't get bored?

I've got some ideas!

• Learn your books of the Bible. Don't forget that if you can come to Sunday School and recite the books of both the Old and New Testaments in order by memory, you'll get a cool new Bible! Wow! What a deal! Work on that guys!!! Everyone needs to know how to get around in the Bible! :)

• Collect those pull tabs! Our Monkeys class collects the pull tabs off of soda cans and donates them to charity (they help raise money for folks' staying in the Ronald McDonald House). I'm sure they would LOVE to see lots of tabs making the way to their classroom!

• Read your Bible! In our Young Believers Class, we have been talking about how God speaks to us by the Holy Spirit through the Bible, prayer, circumstances, and the church. Let's really dig into His Word this summer (and prayer and church too!) and see what God has in store for GraceKids! Parents, I challenge you guys too ... wouldn't it be cool if we all committed to reading and praying every day this summer! After all, they say it only takes two weeks of doing something before it becomes a habit.

Hmmm...... Pray! GraceKids, I have a theory ... it's not a fact, but it does make me smile .... sometimes I think that the prayers of kids travel to God's ears faster! I hope that each of you realize that your prayers are heard and they are soooooo important! So important in fact, that I have another challenge for you. Will each of you include the GraceKids program in your prayers this summer? This is your church and your Sunday School. Will you pray that God tells your teachers the lessons they need to teach to you? And that He brings the right volunteers to help out exactly as they're needed. And that our GraceKids program is always a comfortable and fun place where everyone wants to be! Prayer is a powerful thing, and I want our GraceKids program to be exactly what God wants it to be ... and it can be if we all pray that God shows us what He has in mind for us.

Summer is such a fun time. I hope it is so fun and special for all of you! In His Service .
